Big Daddy

RenaissanceReaper

  • Isaac and Big Daddy use colors to symbolize different actions (Big Daddy's eyes are green when unangered, yellow for a warning, and red when they are hostile while Isaac's RIG is blue when full, yellow at mid health, and red near death and his guns also have blue lines when aimed to signal they have ammo while red means he needs to reload).
  • Big Daddies and Isaac have both lost their minds. Isaac when he makes contact with the Markers and Big Daddies when they are turned into Big Daddies.
  • Bioshock and Dead Space both include Horror Survival elements. Bioshock and Dead Space both have 1 out of 3 games that include an online PvP Multiplayer.
  • Delta who is a Big Daddy and Isaac can both hack different devices.
  • Bioshock Infinite and Dead Space both have games that included another game exclusively for the PS3. Bioshock Infinite gave players the original Bioshock for free and Dead Space 2 gave Dead Space: Extraction for free.
Isaac Clarke
Big Daddy
  • Both Bioshock and Little Big Planet place emphasis on the player's choices, moral and ethical choices for BioShock, and level and character designs for LittleBigPlanet.
  • Big Daddy and Sackboy also come in many different varieties.
  • Both also cannot talk and have someone else talk for them: Ryan Andrew Ryan for Big Daddy, and LBP's narrator for Sackboy.
  • It could also be a big vs. little motif.
  • Also in LittleBigPlanet, Sackboy collects bubbles and, in BioShock, Big Daddy is referred to as "Mister Bubbles" by the Little Sisters.
  • Both of their games have a motif for defying the impossible. Andrew Ryan in BioShock makes a speech expressing his dream of building a city at the bottom of the sea and making it a reality when he created Rapture (Zachary Comstock in BioShock Infinite accomplishes this similarly by building Columbia, a city in the sky). LittleBigPlanet's entire theme is about the player's creativity and imagination, allowing them to make anything when they put their mind to it using the game's tools.
Sackboy
Blasto

superJROlander

  • Both characters are very similar in appearance and personality.
  • Qwark was originally presented with a red suit. This was to avoid comparisons with Blasto.
Qwark
Booker DeWitt

RenaissanceReaper

  • Both Cole and Booker's games deal with alternate realities. Booker and Elizabeth can open tears and go into alternate realities, while Cole can be either Good or Evil depending on the choices he makes. In the previous Bioshock games, the player also had a good and a bad choice to chose from depending on the situation, these choices, like in Infamous, lead to different endings.
  • Cole has the power of manipulating electricity because he was born with the conduit gene, in InFamous 2 he can also obtain the power to manipulate ice and fire. In Bioshock: Infinite, Booker can consume vigors and plasmids such as Devil's Kiss, Shock Jockey Old Man Winter which give him the power to manipulate fire, electricity, and ice respectively.
  • Both video games take place in made up cities Empire City and New Marais for InFamous and Columbia from Bioshock: Infinite.
  • Both Cole and Booker are confronted with alternate versions of their future selves. Cole faces Kessler in the first Infamous while Booker faces Comstock in Bioshock Infinite.
  • In the good karma ending of InFamous 2, Cole dies. In the "true" ending of Bioshock: Infinite, the version of Booker controlled by the player supposedly dies.

  • Both Booker and Joel are two world-weary killers and bitter men, who've lost daughters in some way or form.
  • Both men also come from a relatively realistic game with a major fictional element, the Vigors in Booker's case and the Cordyceps in Joel's.
  • Both also take on surrogate daughter-like figures for a mission originally for their own gain only but grow to love their charges.
  • Finally, both come from a game meant for the story and have been nominated for GOTY of 2013.
Joel & Ellie
Carmelita

Alexray35

  • Delsin is considered a small town delinquent while Carmelita is a cop. Delsin's brother, Reggie is also a cop.
  • Sucker Punch developed both the InFamous games and the Sly Cooper games (except TiT). There's also easter eggs/nods between series.
Delsin Rowe

Clank

Based on the Ratchet/Jak 'rivalry

  • Both are the sidekicks of a hero. Both are the opposite personality of their friend (Clank being quite smart with Ratchet being the fighter and Daxter being the wise-cracking sidekick while Jak is a dark shoot-first-ask-questions-later character).
  • Both have stand-alone games released for the PSP (Clank with Secret Agent Clank and Daxter with Daxter)
  • They have the opposite personalities, with Clank being brave, smart and willing to get into a fight while Daxter is a wise-cracking coward who mostly hangs back and let Jak do the fighting.
  • The Ratchet & Clank and Jak and Daxter franchises have had crossovers and nods to each other before.
Daxter
Cloud Strife

Alexray35

  • Both Final Fantasy VII and The Legend of the Dragoon were released exclusively for the original PlayStation and both games are very similar in design and gameplay, both being RPGs.
  • Both Cloud and Dart are sword fighters, and they both have intent to avenge the ones they lost, Dart to avenge his family, and Cloud to avenge his dear love.
Dart Feld
Cole MacGrath

Alexray35

  • In InFamous people with the conduit gene, have superpowers. In Jak and Daxter, Jak can also have powers with the help of a substance known as Eco. While under the effect of Dark Eco, Jak emanates discharges of purple electricity-like sparks, Cole has the power to manipulate electricity (that can either be blue or red).
  • In InFamous, the player can choose whether to follow a good path or an evil one, changing the appearance of Cole and the colors of his powers. Blue represents a good karma and red an evil one. In Jak and Daxter the most powerful types of Eco are know as Dark Eco and Light Eco. Dark Eco has the property to warp, mutate, and destroy things it turns Jak into one of his alter-egos Dark Jak, Light Eco contains the property of healing, restoring, balancing, and purifying, it turns Jak into Light Jak. Dark Jak and Evil Cole are both keen to destruction and Light Jak and Good Cole are calm.
  • Jak and Cole being the heroes can count on the help of their sidekicks, Daxter and Zeke. There are also two significant female characters for both heroes, Keira and Ashelin for Jak and Lucy and Nix for Cole. There's also a mentor/helpful side character, Samos, and Professor Wolf. And a villain that changes his appearance to something beyond human, Errol, and Bertrand.
Jak and Daxter
Cole MacGrath

Alexray35

  • From the perspective of InFamous 2 evil path, both Cole and Hale can be considered to be corrupted. Cole by doing bad things turned into an evil version of himself and Hale was infected by the Chimera virus.
  • Both absorb the power of the final boss in their games, Cole absorbs the Beast powers and Hale absorb Daedalus powers.
  • Both only appear in two canon games, Cole in InFamous 1 and 2, and Hale in Resistance Fall of Man and 2. Both appear in Uncharted 2 as a multiplayer skin.
  • Both have 'something' special in their organisms, Cole has the conduit gene and Hale has the chimera virus.
  • Both have the same haircut.
Nathan Hale
Cole MacGrath
  • Gameplay-wise, both InFAMOUS and Fat Princess rely heavily on duality with the colors red and blue representing different sides. In Fat Princess, you can choose either the Red Kingdom or the Blue Kingdom, and in InFAMOUS, Cole can become either Hero Cole, who is represented by the color blue, or Evil Cole, who is represented by the color red.
  • Both also have a theme of greed, with Evil Cole being power hungry and Fat Princess always being hungry and demanding for cake.
  • Cole, especially when the Evil Karma path is chosen, tends to be very independent while Fat Princess has her servants doing everything for her in Fat Princess.
Princess Plump
Cole MacGrath
  • Cole MacGrath and Raiden have electricity-themed names; "Coal" is burned to produce electricity, while "Rai" and "Den" are the Japanese words for "Thunder" and "Electricity", respectively. Also, they both are associated with electricity, with Cole MacGrath being able to control it and Raiden being named after a mythological electrical creature in Japanese mythology, and also having electricity flowing through him. Raiden also displays some form of control over electricity during Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
  • Ironically, regarding their voice actors, Raiden's English voice actor voices two roles Cole's Japanese voice is known for, Axel of Kingdom Hearts and Reno of Final Fantasy (both by Square Enix).
  • Both of their respective games focus on absorbing energy from other sources in order to heal and recharge, Cole recharges from various environmental objects such as telephone poles, cars, and power generators while Raiden recharges his cyborg body by absorbing the electrolytes of other cyborgs when he rips out and crushes their spinal column.
  • The two characters have alternate personalities that affect their powers and in-game abilities along with coincidentally being related to the color red. Cole's powers change when the player chooses the evil path in inFamous with his lightning and clothes turning red. Raiden has his Jack the Ripper persona where he gives into his bloodlust and fights more viciously, in Metal Gear Rising the player can activate this persona with Ripper mode to make Raiden's attacks stronger and deal more damage and causes his body, electricity, and eyes to glow red.
Raiden
Crash Bandicoot

Tonipelimies

  • Both Crash and Knack hold visual similarities; Knack's head is similar to Crash's.
  • Also, it pits two completely different generations against each other. A classic hero from the PS1 era vs a new hero from the PS4 era.
  • Also, in development, Knack was originally pitched as a Crash Bandicoot game for PS4, before it was retooled into Knack.
Knack
Crash Bandicoot
  • Spyro and Crash first games were both Playstation games made by Insomniac Games and Naughty Dog respectively. They were both considered unofficial Playstation mascots at that time. Both franchises would later be own by Activision.
  • Spyro and Crash had various appearances, easter eggs, nods and crossovers between both franchises.
  • Both franchises have now remakes of the first 3 games in the series, Crash with Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro with Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
  • Both Spyro and Crash are followed by a companion, Sparx and Aku Aku respectively.
Spyro
Dante (DmC)
  • Both DmC and Heavenly Sword were developed by Ninja Theory and both are hack and slash games.
  • Both Nariko and Dante possess swords relevant to their story. Nariko wields the Heavenly Sword, a sword believed to have been forged in heaven for a deity and Dante wields the Rebellion a sword which was once his father's, Sparda, a demon. Notice the heaven-hell motif.
  • The way Bohan appears after being corrupted by the Raven King is very similar to the way Vergil (from the classic series) looks when he was corrupted.
  • Both games have heaven and hell themes. In Heavenly Sword, Bohan even says " A battle between Heaven and Hell" before fighting Nariko. In DmC: Devil May Cry, Dante is a Nephilim, a son of an angel and a demon.
  • Nariko and Dante have both faced persecution, with Nariko being rejected by her people, and Dante being wanted by the human authorities.
Nariko
Delsin Rowe

LeeHatake93

  • Both characters have powers: Delsin's superpowers, and Jodie's psychic powers.
  • Both are also seen as outcasts due to these powers.
Jodie Holmes
Delsin Rowe

Alexray35

  • Delsin's personality is very similar to Dante's, care-free, enjoys showing off, etc. Vergil is the opposite being more serious.
  • Both Delsin and Vergil have brothers. Vergil has a younger tween brother, Delsin has an older brother, Reggie. While Dante embraced his humanity and initially rejected his demonic side, Vergil did the opposite. In a similar faction, Delsin was quicker to embrace his conduit powers than his brother. In both series, there is this contrast between a group of much stronger individuals and another who aren't even near as strong. In Devil May Cry there are the Demons and the humans. In InFamous there are the people with the conduit gene and the "normal" people.
  • Delsin's video powers display a contrast between light blue and light red colors as well as and enfaces in angels or demons depending on Delsin's karma. These include angel wings, demon claws, and summoning either demons or angels. In the main series of Devil May Cry, Vergil is a half demon and in the DmC version, he is half demon and half angel. The blue/red theme also matches Dante and Vergil. Delsin's good karma melee attack with the Video powers is a sword and Vergil is a swordsman. Cole, another protagonist from the InFamous series is known as the Demon of Empire City.
  • Delsin's Bloodthirsty Blades and Vergil's Summoned Swords look very similar. Vergil's Storm Sword has a name similar to Delsin's Blade Storm. Vergil's Heavy Rain and Delsin's subdue/execute while using Shroud of Invisibility are also very similar.
Vergil
Dr. Nefarious

Alexray35 and MaximumKOF

  • Both are the main antagonists of their franchises.
  • Both have armies (or had before being defeated), robotic troopers and Pipo monkeys for Nefarious and Specter respectively.
  • Dr. Nefarious doesn't like organic beings and Specter is a monkey.
  • Both use powerful weapons as well as giant robots to achieve their goals.
  • Both have been playable characters at least once.
  • Ape Escape and R&C referencing each other in their own series.
  • Nefarious was originally an organic life form who was bullied a lot as a student by Qwark before an accident turned him mechanical, Specter was a monkey who gained his knowledge and skills through acquiring the Peak Point Helmet
Specter
Emmett Graves
  • Both Kat and fight extraterrestrial lifeforms, but in different ways. Kat flies herself by altering her gravity field while Emmett uses his jet.
  • They also both debuted in 2012.
  • The two also use powers commonly used by their enemies: Kat uses Dusty's gravitational powers, which is derived from the Nevi, and Emmett is infected by Rift Energy, which creates the enemies of the Starhawk.
  • Both have been touched by cosmic forces, but whereas Kat's is beneficial, Graves has to suppress his lest he turns into an Outsider. Said cosmic forces power their games' main enemies.
Kat
Emmett Graves

RenaissanceReaper

  • Emmett Graves and Nathan Hale both fight extraterrestrial beings.
  • Emmett and Hale both use the power of their enemies against.
Nathan Hale
Heihachi Mishima
  • Both Toro and Kuro were exclusive guest fighters in Street Fighter X Tekken, a crossover that Heihachi also appeared in.
  • Heihachi also originates from a fighting game franchise Tekken, and Toro's move set consist of elements from other fighting games (i.e. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and even Tekken itself).
  • Both also have something to do with adopting animals. While Heihachi adopted both Kumas, Toro was adopted by a sushi store owner.
  • Both the rivals can also only speak a certain language since Heihachi usually speaks Japanese while Toro and Kuro usually talk like normal cats.
  • Both of them also seem to be very famous in Japan.
  • They also are related to cats: Toro is a cat, and the back of Heihachi's gi has a tiger head.
Toro Inoue
Hybrid Chimera

LeeHatake93

  • Both come from apocalyptic games that have an infectious virus.
  • Also mirrors the Naughty Dog/Insomniac rivalry of Jak & Daxter vs Ratchet & Clank.
  • Both TLOU and Resistance content have appeared in Uncharted multiplayer.
  • In Resistance 2, Nathan Hale's blood is used to create a cure to the Chimera virus. In a similar faction, Ellie was going to be used to create a cure to the CBI.
Joel and Ellie
Issac Clarke
  • Similar to that of Kratos and Sweet Tooth's connection as rivals, both Zeus and Isaac come from games known for being incredibly bloody and violent (God of War and Dead Space).
  • Ironically, Zeus is the king of the gods who was defeated and killed by his son, Kratos, while Isaac Clarke has taken down the leader of an alien horde.
  • Zeus is a deity with a desire for absolute control, while Isaac has had problems with both religion (Unitology) and authority figures (EarthGov).
  • Both rely heavily on electricity in some form or another to defeat their enemies, with Zeus using many lightning-related attacks and Isaac using advanced electronic devices.
  • Also, note that Zeus is a god who hails from a mythological setting while Isaac is a regular human from a futuristic setting.
  • Also, Isaac must constantly deal with the Church of Unitology in Dead Space, which worship's The Great Marker which is like a god to them whilst Zeus is a god.
  • Not to mention that both Isaac and Zeus lose their minds, Zeus as a result of Pandora's box, and Isaac as a result of contact with The Marker.
Zeus
Iota

Alexray35, superJROlander, and Elemental-Aura

  • Both are small, imaginative creatures who are made of different materials (paper & wood) as Iota is a living envelope & Kutaro is a boy turned puppet.
  • Also, both have the ability to change their own bodies. Iota can fold himself into different shapes, & Kutaro can take off his own head & replace it with a new head.
  • Lastly, both characters' games were released in 2013.
  • Kutaro has a scissor and the Tearaway universe is mostly made out of paper.
Kutaro
Jak and Daxter
  • Both the Jak and Daxter franchise and Ratchet & Clank franchise have had cameos in each other's games mainly because of the close partnership shared between its developers, Naughty Dog and Insomniac Games, the creators of PlayStation's iconic games: Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon.
  • Jak and Ratchet have also been considered the mascots of their generation, and have actually met each other in PlayStation Move Heroes, where they bickered amongst themselves, but eventually became allies.
  • Jak and Daxter and Ratchet & Clank are duos that involve one character for main gameplay (Jak and Ratchet) and one character for support/help (Daxter and Clank).
Ratchet and Clank
Jin Kazama

Alexray35

  • Both Ryu and Jin come from two of the most well-known fighting game series: Street Fighter and Tekken.
  • Both characters have an evil alter-ego, Evil Ryu and Devil Jin. These correspond to Ryu's form when he succumbs to the Satsui no Hado and Jin's devil form after being consumed by the effects of the Devil Gene.
  • Both Namco and Capcom have crossed over multiple times in the past, therefore Jin and Ryu have been together in other games before such as Namco × Capcom, Street Fighter × Tekken, Project × Zone, and Project × Zone 2.
  • In Street Fighter × Tekken, Ryu's swap costume is based on Devil Jin.
Ryu
Joseph Capelli

Alexray35

  • Both try to defeat alien invasions (Pipos and Chimeras)
  • Both replace main characters (Nathan Hale and Spike/Jimmy)
  • Both appear as playable characters in the third game of the series (R3/AE3) and in another game as non-player characters (SaruSaru: Big Mission/Resistance 2)
Kei
Journeyer

Alexray35 and superJROlander

  • Both characters set out on a journey across a vast land to get their objectives. Wander crosses Forbidden Lands to defeat the Colossi, and Journeyer crosses a desert to reach the mountain.
  • The light from SOTC that marks the Colossi locations is similar to the light that comes from the mountain. The light is an important element in both games.
  • Both only appear in one game. Wander in Shadow of the Colossus and Journeyer in Journey.
  • Both have unique patterns in his clothing. In both games, there are unique symbols and a unique and fictional language.
  • Journeyer's eyes resemble the eyes of Dormin.
  • In both games, the characters find huge creatures, in SOTC: the Colossi, in Journey the Guardians. The Guardians resemble the Colossi.
  • In finals of both games, the character transforms into something completely different. Wander is possessed by the darkness and, when it goes away, turns into a baby. Journeyer transforms into a "light star" a comes back to the beginning of the game.
  • In both games, there is a story related to the past and to the ancestors.
  • Both games have elements from other games made by the same company. In Shadow of the Colossus, there is a sword from the game "ICO", both games are made by "Team Ico". In Journey, there are a creature from "Flow" and a flower from "Flower", all games made by "Thatgamecompany".
Kratos and Atreus

Alexray35

  • Both God of War (2018) and The Last of Us have an emphasis on the relation between two characters. God of War with Kratos and Atreus and The Last of Us with Joel and Ellie. Both stories revolve around the theme of father-son/daughter as both Joel and Kratos try the become good parental figures to their companions. Both games are very story driven.
  • Both Joel and Kratos have had a daughter who has passed away. Kratos is seen killing his daughter at the beginning of God of War, and Joel's daughter is shotted at the beginning of The Last of Us.
  • Both Kratos and Joel have a beard. Both Ellie and Atreus use bows.
  • Both Kratos and Joel live with the mentality of only killing to survive and not for entertainment.
  • In both God of War and The Last of Us, there is a moment in the story in which Atreus/Ellie has to hunt down a deer.
  • Both Kratos and Joel have (or had) a brother who helped them in their journey. Deimos for Kratos and Tommy for Joel.
  • Both Atreus and Ellie are young and curious. Both have something special about them, Atreus being a god and Ellie being immune to the virus.
  • Kratos and Joel both lie to their companions. Kratos for half of the story doesn't tell Atreus their true nature while Joel doesn't tell Ellie that the fireflies no longer needed her.
  • Both TLoU and GoWIII had a remastered version for the PS4.
Joel and Ellie
Kratos (classic)

Alexray35

  • Both God of War and Mortal Kombat are franchises known for their brutality, violence, and gore.
  • Scorpion's family and clan were murdered by the Lin Kuei. Kratos was tricked by Ares into killing his own family.
  • Both characters have died and went to their universes' equivalent of hell. Scorpion was sent to the Netherrealm and Kratos to Hades. Both characters went to hell more than once and returned.
  • Both have some relation to fire. Kratos having the powers of the God of War and his signature blades, most of his attacks with them are fire based. Scorpion utilizes Hellfire in his attacks.
  • Kratos's grab with his blades is very similar to Scorpion's "Get over here" move.

Scorpion

Kratos (classic)
  • Both God of War and Twisted Metal were created by David Jaffe, and both Kratos and Sweet Tooth were even created by him.
  • In addition, Kratos and Sweet Tooth are both known for their extreme brutality, and their games are infamous for the amount of violence in them.
  • Both have also sacrificed allies for their own goals, with Sweet Tooth murdering his own gunman to make an explosion that would remove armor from a monster truck, and Kratos using a young woman that was accompanying him to open a door at the cost of her own life.
  • Authority figures have also found ways to betray them. For instance, Kratos has been betrayed by the majority of the Greek Pantheon and the Titans, usually during the Second Great War (a.k.a Second Titanomachy), while Calypso backstabbed Sweet Tooth by turning his own wish against him (Sweet Tooth's wish was to have another chance to kill his daughter, the only person to escape him and live), sealing him inside his daughter's grave, and leaving him there to die.
  • Also, Sweet Tooth and Kratos both killed members of their families, Ares tricking Kratos into doing it, as he considers it a sign of weakness, while Sweet Tooth killed them after carving his clown mask.
  • Both also killed the highest authority: Kratos killing Zeus and Sweet Tooth killing Calypso in Twisted Metal Black.
  • Both have caused the death of innocents and incredible destruction, with Kratos doing so either to get to his goal faster or not thinking about the consequences of his actions, while Sweet Tooth does so out of pleasure and amusement.
  • Sweet Tooth was one of the PlayStation's first unofficial mascots and Kratos has recently become a character nearly synonymous with the PlayStation.
  • Kratos's blades appear in Twisted Metal (2012) in the Dollface's ending and in Mr. Grimm's mid-story.
  • Ed Boon said that he thought about putting Sweet Tooth as a playable fighter in Mortal Kombat (2011) but Kratos was chosen instead.
  • Both characters have some relation to fire, Kratos having the powers of the God of War and his signature blades, most of his attacks with them are fire based. One of Sweet Tooth's most iconic trait is his flaming head. Kratos obtained this powers after bowing servitude to Ares and Sweet Tooth after being cursed by the Preacher.
  • Both characters die at some point in their games. Kratos in God of War 2 and Sweet Tooth in Twisted Metal (2012)
Sweet Tooth
Kulche

Alexray35

  • Both Kulche and Patapon are 2D PlayStation Portable characters.
  • They also need teamwork, Kulche to be bigger and Patapon to make tribes.
  • There are various species of LocoRoco, Kulche being one example. In Patapon, there are various types and species of Patapon.
Patapon
Lammy

ItsLuigiTime

  • Both UmJammer Lammy and Vib-Ribbon are games developed by NanaOn-Sha.
  • Both characters are female protagonists of a music-based game.
Lara Croft Nathan Drake
Nathan Drake
  • Nolan North has voiced characters from both the Uncharted and Sly Cooper franchises, Nathan Drake for Uncharted, Le Paradox and El Jefe for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.
  • Also, Nathan Drake and Sly Cooper both come from famous lineages; Sly Cooper coming from a long line of master thieves, and Nathan Drake claiming to be descended from the famous explorer, Sir Francis Drake.
  • Also, Nathan Drake and Sly Cooper are both thieves: Sly's entire family has been infamous for their thieving skills, and Drake grew up as a thieving orphan before being found by Victor Sullivan, while Sly grew up in an orphanage where he met Murray and Bentley.
  • Another interesting fact is that both Sly and Drake say "five finger discount" when picking up items or killing opponents, again referencing their thieving backgrounds.
  • Both are also known to be confident "ladies men" with charming styles and a mischevious demeanor, and they both have love interests: Elena Fisher (later becoming Nathan Drake's wife upon the events of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception) and Carmelita Fox, respectively.
  • Another major similarity between Drake and Sly is their most precious items they carry with them everywhere. Drake having Sir Francis Drake's ring and Sly Cooper having the Cooper Cane. Both items are precious to them, are believed to be passed down by generations of their ancestors and both are actually made to be keys to a major treasure they claim rights to.
  • They both also had a game named after the idiom "honor amongst thieves," referring to the game titles of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves -- one of the cutscene names in Uncharted 2 is named "Honor Among Thieves", too.
  • Also, both Uncharted series and in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time have collectible trophies. In a huge coincidence as well, at one point Sucker Punch Productions (the makers of the Sly Cooper) planned on making a game named "Uncharted", but this was rejected.
  • In Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time there is a trophy called "Navigate Like Drake" a reference to Nathan Drake.
Sly Cooper
Nathan Hale

Alexray35

  • Killzone and Resistance are both first-person shooter video-games. The stories of both games are based on "alien" invasions, Chimeras and Helghast.
  • Both only appear in two games of their series (as a playable character). Both work in organizations, Hale in SRPA and Sev in ISA, and both are leaders of a team, Hale is the leader of the Echo Team and Sev of the Alpha Squad.
  • In Resistance 3 there is a massive war machine named Goliath, it is very similar to MAWLR from Killzone 3.
  • Both franchises have costumes in Uncharted 2's multiplayer.
Sev
PaRappa
  • Both Ape Escape and PaRappa the Rapper are colorful, quirky Japanese franchises that had animes exclusive to Japan, and both characters made their debut on the first PlayStation and their respective first games had remakes for the PlayStation Portable.
  • Also, their first games were considered some of the greatest hits of the PS1 but didn't really live up to the expectations of the first game with later installments. They both also were absent from the gaming industry for a long time (even longer in PaRappa's case).
  • Spike catches monkeys. In PaRappa the Rapper most characters are animals.
  • In 2001, McDonald's in Japan gave away "Super Happy Discs" which contained demos of Ape Escape 2001 and PaRappa the Rapper 2 (with McDonald's merchandise edited in).
Spike
Radec
  • Both Killzone and MediEvil franchises have had games made by SCE Cambridge.
  • Both characters have also been killed in the games that they have debuted in, and both were killed by a shot to the head (Colonel Radec shot himself for failing to defeat the ISA and Sir Daniel was shot in the left eye by an arrow before MediEvil even starts).
  • Ironically, both die at the opposite point in their respective games, with Radec dying at the end of the game, and Sir Daniel dying before the game even begins.
  • Both are also soldiers who have held high ranks (both are also commanders), with Sir Dan leading the Gallowmere army into battle, and Radec being a high-ranking official in the Helghast.
  • Also, Radec is from the future while Sir Daniel is from the past, and Radec uses guns and an Army knife while Sir Daniel uses his sword and shield.
Sir Daniel
Sackboy

RenaissanceReaper

  • Little Big Planet and ModNation Racers both put great emphasis on level and character designs.
  • Both characters do not speak and have someone else speak for them.
  • Media Molecule and United Front games worked on LBP Karting, and Sackboy even appeared in ModNation Racers.
